Exciting news from Sun Jr! We’ve been on a wild ride recently, planning for our biggest summer of shows expanding from Denver to Colorado Springs to the Western Slopes. Amidst all this live action, we've made time for something special: the release of our remixed and remastered early tunes, which we’re calling The Canary Tapes.

Dropping May 17th, you can listen to Canary Tape A on Spotify and other streaming platforms. This first release features two singles, “Sugar Love” and “Bag of Bones.” Think of it as a modern take on the classic A-side/B-side release. 

For the next couple of months, we'll be releasing a new “tape” every two weeks, leading up to the full album release on July 4th. Each tape will feature Matt’s unique art design, celebrating our love for the nostalgic tape-trading days. We like to think of the canary as a symbol of resilience, sprung free from the dangers of the underground, just like us moving from basement jams to bigger stages.

We hope you enjoy these polished versions of our early tracks. Yes, we know Spotify pays only a fraction of a penny per play, but every listen helps us grow and reach more people. So, add them to your playlists, share on social media, and spread the word at bars, dinner parties, and soccer games.
