See ya for a late night at the On the Rise After Party. This is a free event (thanks for the pay check City of Boulder) and the perfect place to bring it on home. The On The Rise Concert Series has been four shows produced near the end of the last four months by Roots Music Project and funded by the City of Boulder, all featuring local Colorado and Boulder acts. There have been a ton of great acts and this Saturday will be no different with the music starting at 5:00 and quickly ripping through three 45 minute sets of three different bands and finishing with an hour set by Dave Watts of Motet from 8:45-9:45.
The plan then is for folks to just walk on over the short distance from Boulder Junction in front of the Boulder Depot, across the train tracks on Pearl Street East, and down a block to the Junkyard Social.
It actually could be really fun if everyone from that show and everyone from the Toe Jam (that show ends at 10:00) end up at Junkyard. You might even consider parking over here to start your night, suggested parking across the street in the warehouse parking lot near UPS and Sanitas, or the along the road to Boulder Indoor Soccer...or better yet Uber, Lime or get your mom to drop you off. Regardless of how you responsibly plan your night, if you love listening to local music, Saturday September 28th is going to give you a ton of options, with them all ending up at this party.
